US Secretary Steven Mnuchin, under the leadership of President Donald Trump, has determined that China is a 'Currency Manipulator'. US government has described in a statement that China has a long history of facilitating an undervalued currency through protracted, big-scale interference in the foreign exchange market. Steven Mnuchin will talk to the IMF to eliminate the unfair competitive advantage created by China's latest actions. What is a Currency Manipulator? 'Currency manipulator' is a term which is generally used by United States Department of the Treasury to designate countries that engage in a certain degree of currency intervention.
