  • When you get recruited through SSC CGL for a post with GP, say 4600/- (as per the 7th CPC implemented in 2016), your basic pay would be fixed at 44,900/- .

The government employees enjoy a 3% yearly increment in the basic salary along with an increment in DA (Dearness Allowance) in every six months.

Now, adding all the allowances (DA @ 21%, HRA @ 24%, TA @ 3600, TA on DA) to the basic pay, an officer can expect a gross pay of 69, 461/- . After making the deductions (NPS, CGHS, PT), the net salary may amount to 63, 468/- .

Coming to your question, the basic pay after 5 years of service would be 52,000/- . So, adding the allowances (assuming the same rates), the gross pay equals to 1, 01, 560/- and the net salary after deductions amounts to 92, 720/- .

    Note:
Provided you pass the departmental exams, the figures will change positively.
