E-learning or online learning is a method of imparting and grasping knowledge through the means of the Internet.

E-learning has turned out to be a digital revolution because of the various benefits that it provides to a learner. It has made learning easy, quicker and cost-effective. Unlike the traditional method of teaching, students can enjoy the option of accessing the study materials at any place and any time.

The various facets of e-learning include online programs, online courses, online internships and even an online degree. E-learning has also removed the barriers of geographical location and financial instability as students can access the knowledge and information from the comfort of their homes and at a cheap cost.

Students who prefer an individual-paced learning process can do so with the help of e-learning platforms available today. Online learning has also enabled housewives or the office-going working class to take up online courses and attend them at their own preferred learning pace, place and time. E-learning, in a way, has replaced or at least proved to be a substitute to the traditional chalk and board method of teaching.
