SSC CPO Exam Guide: All you need to know
SSC CPO stands for Selection Staff Commission Central Police Organisations. The commission conducts the SSC CPO exam every year to recruit for the post of Sub Inspector and Assistant Sub Inspector in Delhi Police, CAPF and CISF. Following are some important SSC CPO Exam Guide points which you must know!
SSC CPO Exam Date
The SSC CPO exam notification has been delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. However, as per the exam calendar, the SSC CPO Exam 2020 Paper 1 will take place from 23rd November to 26th November 2020 (CBE). We shall be updating other dates as soon as the SSC CPO notification is out.
SSC CPO Exam Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for the exam is based on some age, educational and physical standards. Please take a look below for details:
SSC CPO Exam Educational Qualification:
- Candidates need to have a graduation degree in any discipline from an authorized University or any equivalent degree recognized by the Central Government, on or before 1st August 2020.
- For Sub Inspectors in Delhi Police: Male candidates must have a valid Driving License (D/L) for LMV (Car & Motorcycle) as before the date fixed for PET (Physical Endurance and Standard Tests). However, Driving License is not mandatory at the time of filing an application form.
Age Limit for SSC CPO Exam
Candidates need to be at least 20 years old and not more than 25 years old as of 1st August 2020. However, there are certain age relaxations for the upper age limit, as shown below:

- The minimum distant vision of candidates, without wearing glasses, should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes.

SSC CPO Exam Application Process
Following are the steps to apply for SSC CPO exam online
- Register on the official SSC CPO website, ssc.nic.in
- For SSC CPO posts, click on the ‘Apply’ link
- Fill in required details in the application form.
- Upload required scanned photograph and signature
- Pay the application fee and submit the form. Fee details are as given below:
SSC CPO Exam Admit Card
Admit card will be available on the official SSC website, ssc.nic.in, 10-15 days prior to the exam date. Please keep your login details handy for the process of downloading the admit card.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern
