DRDO-RAC RECRUITMENT 2020
Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDA-RAC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Scientist-B on 167 posts. RAC invites online applications from graduate engineers and post graduates in Science including students who are appearing for final year examination through RAC website https://rac.gov.in.
ABOUT THE VACANCY
Given below shows discipline-wise details of vacancies and is divided into 3 parts
(Part-I) : The recruitment in the disciplines mentioned below will be based on valid GATE score, a Descriptive Examination and Personal Interview.
(a)At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in any of the three below mentioned stream from recognized university or equivalent.
(b)GATE Qualification: Valid GATE score. any of the three below mentioned stream with Minimum 80% aggregate marks in EQ degree, if done from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or National Institute of Technology (NIT).

(Part-II) : The recruitment in the disciplines mentioned below will be based on valid GATE score and Personal Interview
(a)At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in any of the Eight below mentioned stream from recognized university or equivalent
(b)Valid GATE score in any of the Eight below mentioned stream

(Part-III) : The recruitment in the discipline mentioned below will be based on Aggregate Percentage of Marks in NET and Personal Interview.
(a) At least First Class Master’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized university or equivalent.
(b) Qualified the NET exam for eligibility to Assistant Professorship in Psychology.

4.Relaxation in upper age limit (As per Govt rules) :
(a)Upto 10 years for PwD (HH) and PwD(OH) candidates.
(b)The upper age limit is relaxable for Ex-servicemen including Ex SSCOs/ECOs as per rules in vogue.
APPLICATION FEE
(a) General (UR), EWS and OBC male candidates are need to pay nonrefundable Rs 100/-
(b)There is no application fee for SC/ST/PwD and women candidates.
PATTERN OF DESCRIPTIVE EXAMINATION
The examination is to be conducted in two sessions of duration of three hours each. It will be of descriptive type, consisting of two papers of 300 marks each. The examination will be conducted in pen paper format.
SYLLABUS
The syllabus of the examination is similar to Engineering Services examination (Main) which is downloadable from RAC website.
LOCATION OF EXAMINATION
The Descriptive Examination will be conducted at DRDO centers in seven cities (Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Kolkata, and Pune) as well as at other common centers.
