CDS Analysis 

The UPSC or Union Public Service Commission conducts the Defense Security Service (CDS) examination twice a year for various branches of the Indian Armed Forces including Air Force, Army and Navy. Exams are usually held in February and November. Candidates must be graduates to apply for the CDS exam.

AFCAT exam 

The Indian Air Force conducts the AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) exam twice a year (in February and August). This is one of the most coveted exams among other defense exams for engineers. The candidates selected through the AFCAT exam serve in either Flying Branch (Short Service Commission), or, Technical Branch (Short Service & Permanent Commission), or Ground Duty Branch (Short Service & Permanent Commission).
