All You Need to Know About the AIMA MAT Exam.
During this pandemic, students who are in their final year are confused. All the plans which they had made for their career have gone haywire, so most of them opt for MBA as it is quite a clear option for them looking at the current situation. There are various entrance exams for MBA like CAT, GMAT, NMAT, MAT etc.
One of them is the AIMA MAT exam, also known as the All India Management Association that conducts MAT examinations.
MAT refers to the Management Aptitude Test which is an entrance test for Masters for Business Administration, PGDM or any management course. It is a national-level management entrance examination.
In India there are more than 300 colleges that accept candidates through AIMA MAT scores. This exam is conducted 4 times in a year i.e. February, May, September and December.

AIMA MAT Mode of the Test:
There are a total of four modes that allows a candidate to give this test:
- Paper-based test(PBT): In this mode, the centre's will be allotted to the candidate, he or she needs to go to the centre for giving the exam.
- Computer Based Test(CBT): In this, the candidate needs to give the exam on the computer itself at their allotted centres.
- Both PBT and CBT: In this, the candidate gets the opportunity to give their MAT score to additional 2 management institutes.
- Remote Proctored Internet-Based Test (IBT): In this, the students need to give their exam from their home but with the webcam on while they are giving their live exam.
Every student can send their scores to 5 management institutes but if you are giving both PBT and CBT then you get 2 additional colleges to choose i.e. total 7 colleges for CBT.

There are various documents that you should keep nearby while registering like a scanned photograph, scanned signature and debit or credit card for the fees.
AIMA MAT Exam Syllabus:
There are 5 sections in a MAT exam, the difficulty level of this exam is medium and is not as difficult as the CAT (Common Aptitude Test) examination.

AIMA MAT Exam Paper Pattern:
As we have seen that there are 5 sections, each section has 40 questions. The language of the paper is English and there will be Multiple choice questions. Attempting 106 to 120 questions is a great attempt. The time duration of the exam is for 2 hours, there is no time limit for each question. There is a negative marking, 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Updates about MAT 2020:
Due to this pandemic, the AIMA declared to take the MAT test only through the IBT mode wherein the student will be giving the exam live with the webcam switched on compulsorily from the comfort of their home. The students who have registered for the PBT and CBT mode can switch to IBT mode. The students who are not comfortable in IBT mode can give PBT and CBT mode, but the dates of these modes have not been declared yet.
