The SAT (formerly the SAT) is a standardized undergraduate admissions test administered by college colleges that tests English, math, science, and language skills. The SAT has the following sections: 

1. Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (200-800)

4. Math Test (200-800) 

In addition to these, the SAT also has a resource Essay option with 1 question, which tests the examinee in three areas - reading, analysis and writing. It is rated separately on a scale of 2 to 8 for each of the three areas tested. Another 50 minutes are reserved for this optional section. Although some colleges require the Essay component, you should know the requirements before you decide whether to take the SAT or without the Essay component.

SAT Eligibility Criteria

1. An identity document with name, photograph and signature (such as passport or Aadhaar card) is required to register for SAT.
2. There is no minimum or maximum age to take the SAT. However, most of those who will appear for this exam are in the age group of 17-19. 
3. There are no strict academic qualifications to take the SAT. However, most of the test takers are high school students.
4. The college has not set any restrictions on the time limit for taking the exam. Therefore, you will be able to take the test as many times as you want, whether you have done it or not.

Frequency of SAT tests 

In India, SAT is given 5 times a year, usually in the months of March, May, August, October and December. Dates may change due to the pandemic, and some test locations may be closed for test administration. Therefore, it is advisable to check the exam venue before registering.
