The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts examinations for 10th and 12th along with various entrance examinations like AIEEE, AIPMT and many more. The students undertake various preparation strategies in order to score good marks in these exams. To secure good marks in 10th boards students are often in a dilemma i.e. -

Is tuition necessary for class 10th CBSE or not? Some students feel that tuitions are necessary as they help in good preparation for the board exams.

Tuitions might help in providing extra notes and extra hours of study but self – study is more important than taking tuitions. Joining tuition classes is your choice but self – study helps in better revision and it also helps in the timely completion of the syllabus.

Now students sometimes are in confusion about whether tuition classes are necessary or not. There has been a debate on tuition classes are not necessary over a period of time. In the earlier times, education was not given much importance. So, there were less or negligible amounts of tuition classes.

But now, the times have changed. Students as well as parents feel that tuitions are important as almost half of the population is working. And parents are not able to give time to their children. Therefore, they rely on tuition classes and schools for their children. Tuition classes have now become an important part of the student’s life. But still, it is up to the choice of the student if he/she wants to join tuition classes or rely on self – study.

Well, there are students who have become toppers by relying on self – study and their hard-work. These toppers have followed some preparation strategies that have helped them in achieving good marks in class 10th boards. Below are some of the tips that you can undertake to become a topper without tuition

1. Go through the syllabus:

This is the first and foremost thing that toppers do. They read and go through the syllabus so that they can mark their weak areas or the areas that are time – consuming and begin from them. Therefore, going through the syllabus is very important as it helps in knowing the weak areas.

2. Make a time – table:

Toppers prepare a proper time schedule and follow it to complete the syllabus on time. They plan whatever they do and pick 2 – 3 topics per day and try and finish them on that particular day. Time – table helps them in the timely completion of the syllabus and they have ample time for revision in the last 10 – 20 days.

3. Taking regular breaks:

If you feel toppers study day and night, then it is not so. They study effectively for 2 – 3 hours and then take short breaks of 15 – 20 minutes in between so that they can refresh their mind. This results in improved concentration and focus. Therefore, taking regular short breaks is one strategy that they follow.

4. Practicing sample papers:

These toppers plan and prepare for their exams. One of the strategies they follow is practicing the sample papers and mock tests. These sample papers and mock papers along with previous year’s question papers help in giving them a fair view regarding the exam pattern, structure and the time – duration of the exam.

5. The crucial time:

The last 20 days are of utmost importance. So, they devote almost 12 – 14 hours revising and memorizing the formulas and equations. They keep a record of their weak areas and practice those questions which are relatively time – consuming. They study more effectively and efficiently during this crucial time to secure good marks in the 10th board exams.

The above-mentioned preparation strategies should be undertaken by every student in order to achieve good marks in the board exams. These tips are also followed by the toppers who have previously achieved 95 – 100% marks in 10th boards.

Some students ponder upon a question i.e. tuition for class 10th CBSE near me? They ask several other questions of the same kind. Due to the ongoing pandemic, students do not prefer to step out of their homes and attend tuition classes. So, it is advisable to opt for online tuition classes. There are several tutors who have started giving online tuitions to the students at affordable fees. Students can log on to various sites and look for the tutors that might suit their interest and budget.

One more thing the students can do in order to prepare for the exams. If they do not want to attend online classes, they can also go for YouTube tutorials. They are free and also fit to the interests of the students. Students can watch these tutorials and clarify their doubts if they have any.

So the answer for- is tuition necessary for class 10th cbse? depends on their individual choice. But the most important thing that the student has to focus on is self – study. Through self – study, students can study according to their capabilities without putting themselves under any pressure. Self – study is the most reliable and important strategy for preparing for the board exams of both classes 10th and 12th. Therefore, you must work hard and study efficiently to gain good marks in the board exams.
