Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) is a Technical cum Research University. People who wish to become scientists and engineers give the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exams. One thing that the students need to know is that class 10th marks are not required for getting admission in IIT. But you can start preparing for IIT right from class 10th. An IIT graduate can be recruited in the top companies both in India and in foreign countries. How to prepare for IIT from Class 10th without coaching?


You can prepare for IIT from class 10th onwards. There are certain strategies that you can follow and qualify for the IIT exam without coaching. To crack this exam, you need to follow the steps written below.


1. Clearing the Fundamentals:


NCERT Books play the most important role in preparing for the exams. These books clear the fundamentals of the topics and chapters. NCERT books serve as the base for all the chapters and formulas so that the fundamentals are strong and clear. Students will find it easier to solve questions if they are through with these books. 


2. Secondary Material / Reference Books:


Students are advised to read from secondary sources i.e. reference books. They can use these books to clarify their doubts regarding a particular topic or chapter. Moreover, some reference books come with mock tests so, students can also study and practice from these reference books. 


3. Objective – Type Questions:


Generally, after completing the NCERT and Reference books, students are advised to solve question papers. Objective – type questions help in good practice of IIT exams. MCQs help in memorizing some important points regarding difficult topics. Therefore, students must solve objective type question papers for better preparation for the exams. 


4. Solve Previous Year Question Papers:
